Bottoms Up! Drink More Water & Enjoy It

Do you struggle with drinking the recommended glasses of water each day? If you’re like most people, drinking water is a constant struggle! Figuring out how much water you’re supposed to drink is a task in and of itself. What that number is supposed to be is still up for debate but I’ve come to learn that drinking water regularly helps in keeping you hydrated, flushing out yucky toxins from the body and helping to maintain smooth, sexy skin! Even with knowing all of this, I still have a hard time drinking water every day. I don’t know why it’s so difficult for me but I just can’t. It just tastes so, so… PLAIN lol

To solve this problem, I decided to start infusing my water with fresh fruits and herbs IMG_4414to help me drink water everyday. 2-3 strawberries combined with half a lemon and a few sprigs of mint or basil makes for a refreshing gallon of water that I actually enjoy drinking! You may be wondering how difficult it is to infuse your water and I have to tell you that it’s not hard at all! Here are the steps I take to prepare my water for the day:

  1. Cut up strawberries and lemon in halves with 2-3 sprigs of mint or basil (see picture to the right)
  2. Place them into your water bottle at night before heading off to bed
  3. Place your bottle in the fridge to get your water nice and cold
  4. Tada!!! Your water is all set for drinking the following morning!

You end up with a pretty cool looking water bottle that will cause you to be the envy of everyone in the office! IMG_4324Well, that may be taking it a bit too far but you get my drift! You’ll have folks asking, “What’s all that cool stuff in your water because it looks yummy?” You can confidently say that you’re downing your water and loving it!

I have to warn you that you will become a frequent guest of the restroom facilities as lemons are a natural diuretic so it may cause you to go more frequently. Don’t say I didn’t tell you!
